He took part in a military expedition with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "One of us would take a camel in exchange for half of whatever he gained as spoils, so that one of us would end up with the shaft of the arrow and the other with the arrowhead and feathers."

أنه غزا مع رسول الله ﷺ قال وكان أحدنا يأخذ الناقة على النصف مما يغنم حتى أن لأحدنا القدح وللآخر النصل والريش
