Muawiya reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People follow Quraysh in this matter. The best of them in the days of ignorance are the best of them in Islam, once they gain understanding of the religion. By Allah, were it not that Quraysh might grow arrogant, I would tell them what awaits their best ones with Allah."

Sahihقال وقال رسول الله ﷺ الناس تبع لقريش في هذا الأمر خيارهم في الجاهلية خيارهم في الإسلام إذا فقهوا والله لولا أن تبطر قريش لأخبرتها ما لخيارها عند الله عز وجل
Its chain of transmission is sahih, like the one before it, and the hadith was already mentioned at 14990.16868m1- He said, and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "O Allah, none can withhold what You have given, and none can give what You have withheld, and wealth and rank are of no benefit against You."
