I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Any woman who adds hair from another to her own hair is adding something false."
قال حدثنا أبو نعيم قال حدثنا عبد الله بن مبشر مولى أم حبيبة عن زيد بن أبي عتاب
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول أيما امرأة أدخلت في شعرها من شعر غيرها فإنما تدخله زورا
Its isnad is sahih, contrary to Azdi, who declared Abdullah bin Mubashshir daif, based on what was quoted from him in Tajil. He then said, "I think he is not Julays bin Abu Dhib." I believe Ibn Hajar fell short in this assumption, for he is indeed the same person, that is, Julays bin Abu Dhib. Bukhari and Ibn Abu Hatim both mentioned him and listed those who narrated from him and those from whom he narrated. Bukhari remained silent about him in Tarikh al-Kabir 5/208, while Ibn Abu Hatim, in Jarh 5/176, reported that Ibn Main deemed him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban likewise deemed him trustworthy in 4817.
