Mabad reported,

I heard Muawiya, and he narrated few hadith from the Prophet ﷺ, yet he rarely delivered a sermon without mentioning this hadith in it. He said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "This wealth is sweet and green. Whoever takes it by its rightful means, Allah will bless him in it. And whomever Allah desires good for, He grants him understanding in the religion. Beware of excessive praise, for it is slaughter."

حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن أبيه

عن معبد الجهني قال

سمعت معاوية وكان قليل الحديث عن النبي ﷺ وكان قلما خطب إلا ذكر هذا الحديث في خطبته سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن هذا المال حلو خضر فمن أخذه بحقه بارك الله عز وجل له فيه ومن يرد الله به خيرا يفقه في الدين وإياكم والمدح فإنه الذبح
