Yazid bin Jariya reported,

He informed him that he was sitting with a group of the Ansar when Muawiya came out to them and asked them what they were discussing. They replied, "We were talking about something concerning the Ansar."Muawiya said, "Shall I add to your conversation a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"They said, "Certainly, Commander of the Faithful."He said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever loves the Ansar, Allah loves him, and whoever hates the Ansar, Allah hates him."

حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد أن سعد بن إبراهيم أخبره عن الحكم بن ميناء أن

يزيد بن جارية الأنصاري

أخبره أنه كان جالسا في نفر من الأنصار فخرج عليهم معاوية فسألهم عن حديثهم فقالوا كنا في حديث من حديث الأنصار فقال معاوية ألا أزيدكم حديثا سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ قالوا بلى يا أمير المؤمنين قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من أحب الأنصار أحبه الله عز وجل ومن أبغض الأنصار أبغضه الله عز وجل
