Jubayr bin Mutim reported,

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Messenger of Allah, which places are the worst?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "I do not know."When Jibreel came to him, he asked, "Jibreel, which places are the worst?"Jibreel replied, "I do not know until I ask my Lord ."Then Jibreel departed and remained away as long as Allah willed. He then returned and said, "Muhammad, you asked me which places are the worst, and I said I did not know. I asked my Lord which places are the worst, and He said, 'Their markets.'"

قال حدثنا أبو عامر قال حدثنا زهير بن محمد عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل

عن محمد بن جبير بن مطعم عن أبيه

أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله أي البلدان شر قال فقال لا أدري فلما أتاه جبريل عليه السلام قال يا جبريل أي البلدان شر قال لا أدري حتى أسأل ربي عز وجل فانطلق جبريل عليه السلام ثم مكث ما شاء الله أن يمكث ثم جاء فقال يا محمد إنك سألتني أي البلدان شر فقلت لا أدري وإني سألت ربي عز وجل أي البلدان شر فقال أسواقها
