The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at a campsite, and a spy from the polytheists came while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions were having their morning meal. They invited him to share their food. When the man finished, he mounted his camel and hurried off to warn his companions.Salama said, "I caught up with him, made his camel kneel, and struck off his head. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ awarded me his belongings as spoils."
قال حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد قال حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار قال حدثنا
نزل رسول الله ﷺ منزلا فجاء عين للمشركين ورسول الله ﷺ وأصحابه يتصبحون فدعوه إلى طعامهم فلما فرغ الرجل ركب على راحلته وذهب مسرعا لينذر أصحابه قال سلمة فأدركته فأنخت راحلته وضربت عنقه فغنمني رسول الله ﷺ سلبه
