We were on a military expedition when a messenger from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ says, you may enjoy temporary marriage."

Its chain of transmission is sahih. As for Hasan bin Muhammad bin Ali, he is the son of Abu Talib Hashimi, that is, Ali, and Muhammad here is Ibn Hanafiya. This Hasan is one of the trustworthy, well-known scholarly jurists. The hadith was already mentioned at 15287, and it is found in the Sahihayn.
