We launched a night raid on Hawazin together with Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, whom the Prophet ﷺ had appointed as our commander.
قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي قال حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار
بيتنا هوازن مع أبي بكر الصديق وكان أمره علينا النبي ﷺ
Its isnad is sahih, and it will come at greater length in 16454. This raiding expedition took place in the seventh year against the Banu Kilab of Hawazin.
