We used to pray the Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then return afterward and find that the walls cast no shadow in which one could take shade.
قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي قال حدثنا يعلى بن الحارث قال سمعت
كنا نصلي مع رسول الله ﷺ الجمعة ثم نرجع فلا نجد للحيطان فيئا يستظل فيه
Its isnad is sahih. Yaala bin Harith bin Harb Muharibi is trustworthy according to them, and his hadith appears in the Sahihayn.The hadith was narrated by Bukhari, 7/449, no. 4168, in Fath al-Bari, in the book of military expeditions, the chapter on the expedition of Hudaybiya, and by Muslim, 2/589, no. 620, in the book of Friday prayer, the chapter on the Friday prayer, and by Abu Dawud, 1/284, no. 1085, in the book of prayer, the chapter on the time of the Friday prayer, and by Nasai, 3/100, no. 1391, similarly, and by Ibn Majah, 1/350, no. 1100, in the book of establishing prayer, the chapter on what has been said concerning the time of the Friday prayer, and by Darimi, 2/437, no. 1546, similarly to them.
