I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I am a man with poor eyesight, and between you and me lies this valley and the darkness." I asked him to come and pray at my house so that I could take the place where he prayed as my own prayer spot. He promised me that he would do so.He came along with Abu Bakr and Umar. The Ansar heard of his arrival and came to meet him, but one man among them, called Malik bin Dukhshun, stayed behind. He was suspected of hypocrisy. The people lingered for a meal and began discussing him among themselves, saying, "He stayed away from us, even though he knew the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was visiting us, only because of his hypocrisy."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying. When he finished, he said, "Woe to you all! Did he not testify that there is no god but Allah, sincerely declaring it? Indeed Allah has forbidden the Fire to whoever testifies to that."
