The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the prayer ground and prayed for rain. When he faced the qiblah, he turned his cloak around. Ishaq mentioned in his narration that he began with the prayer before the sermon, then faced the qiblah and made supplication.
قال قرأت على عبد الرحمن: مالك وحدثنا إسحاق قال حدثني مالك عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن عباد بن تميم يقول سمعت
خرج رسول الله ﷺ إلى المصلى واستسقى وحول رداءه حين استقبل القبلة قال إسحاق في حديثه وبدأ بالصلاة قبل الخطبة ثم استقبل القبلة فدعا
