The Prophet ﷺ went out, prayed for rain, and turned his cloak around.
قال حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن يحيى بن سعيد الأنصاري عن أبي بكر بن محمد عن عباد بن تميم قال قال
خرج النبي ﷺ فاستسقى وحول رداءه
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Bakr bin Muhammad is the son of Amr bin Hazm al-Ansari al-Madani, the trustworthy judge and jurist, who has been mentioned many times before. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari, 2/497, no. 1011, in the chapter on seeking rain, turning the cloak, and by Muslim, 2/11, no. 894, and Abu Dawud, 1/301, no. 1161.
