Saeed bin Musayab reported,

We have preserved from thirty of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said, "Whoever frees a share he owns in a slave is responsible for the remainder of him."

حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال حدثنا حجاج بن أرطاة عن عمرو بن شعيب

عن سعيد بن المسيب قال

حفظنا عن ثلاثين من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال من أعتق شقصا له في مملوك ضمن بقيته
