Someone who saw the Prophet ﷺ at the Stones of Zayt informed me that he was supplicating with his palms raised. Hajjaj said that Shuba raised his palms and spread them out.
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Ibrahim is Ibn Harith bin Khalid Taymi, the trustworthy one, who is mentioned frequently, and his hadith is found in the six major collections. Abd Rabbih bin Saeed bin Qays Ansari is also mentioned frequently, and he is trustworthy, and his hadith is likewise found in the six major collections. The hadith was narrated by Muslim with similar wording, 2/612, number 895, from Anas, regarding the prayer for rain, raising the hands in supplication, and with its wording from Abul-Lahm, it was narrated by Abu Dawud, 1/303, number 1168, in the book of prayer, on raising the hands during the prayer for rain, and by Tirmidhi, 2/443, number 557, in the book of prayer, on what has been related about the prayer for rain. He said nothing about it, except that he graded a hadith before it sahih, which carries the same meaning.
