The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There cannot be two witr prayers in one night."The Prophet ﷺ was asked about a man praying in a single garment, and he replied, "Does every one of you have two garments?"
قال حدثنا موسى بن داود حدثنا محمد بن جابر عن عبد الله بن بدر
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يكون وتران في ليلة قال وسئل النبي ﷺ عن الرجل يصلي في ثوب واحد قال وكلكم يجد ثوبين
Its isnad is hasan because of Muhammad bin Jabir. Tirmidhi graded the hadith hasan, 2/333, no. 470. It was also narrated by Abu Dawud, 2/76, no. 1439, Nasai, 3/230, no. 1679, Ibn Abu Shayba, 2/286, Ibn Khuzayma, 2/156, no. 1101, and Ibn Hibban, 174, no. 671, Mawarid.
