Uthman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I am suffering from a pain that has nearly destroyed me."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Place your right hand on the spot and say seven times, 'I seek refuge in the might of Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel.'"Uthman said, "I did that, and Allah removed what was afflicting me. I have continued to recommend it to my family and others ever since."

أتى رسول الله ﷺ قال عثمان وبي وجع قد كاد يهلكني فقال رسول الله ﷺ أمسك بيمينك سبع مرات وقل أعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته من شر ما أجد قال ففعلت ذلك فأذهب الله ما كان بي فلم أزل آمر به أهلي وغيرهم
Its isnad is sahih. Yazid bin Khusayfa is the son of Abdullah bin Khusayfa, attributed to his grandfather, and he is trustworthy, his hadith being accepted by the group of major compilers. The same applies to Amr bin Abdullah bin Kaab Sulami Ansari, and Nafi bin Jubayr bin Mutim Nawfali.The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 4/1728, no. 2202, Abu Dawud, 4/12, no. 3891, and Tirmidhi, 4/408, no. 2080, who said it is hasan sahih, and Ibn Majah, 2/1163, and Malik, 2/942, no. 9, in the chapter on Jami, seeking refuge and ruqya.
