Ubayy said, "We lived with our Prophet ﷺ for a long time, and we had no food except the two black things."Then he asked, "Do you know what the two black things are?"I said, "No."He replied, "Dates and water."

قال أبي لقد عمرنا مع نبينا ﷺ وما لنا طعام إلا الأسودان ثم قال هل تدري ما الأسودان قلت لا قال التمر والماء
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are reliable and were mentioned before, and Bistam bin Muslim bin Numayr Awdhi is reliable. Sulayman is Ibn Dawud, Abu Dawud Tayalisi, and Rawh is Ibn Ubadah. The hadith was mentioned before with similar wording in 9873.
