Someone who saw the Prophet ﷺ told me that he prayed in a single garment, having crossed its two ends over each other.
قال حدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة قال سمعت أبا مالك الأشجعي يحدث
أخبرني من رأى النبي ﷺ يصلي في ثوب قد خالف بين طرفيه
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abu Malik Ashjai is Saad bin Tariq, and he is trustworthy, as previously mentioned, and his hadith appears in Muslim and the four Sunan. The hadith has already preceded in similar wording at 12220.
