Abu Saeed Khudri came home and found a bowl of dried sacrificial meat, but he refused to eat from it. He went to Qatada bin Numan, who informed him that the Prophet ﷺ had stood and said, "I had previously commanded you not to eat the sacrificial meat beyond three days so that it would suffice all of you, but now I make it permissible for you, so eat from it as much as you wish. Do not sell the meat of the sacrificial offerings or the sacrifices. Eat, give in charity, and benefit from their hides, but do not sell them. If you are given some of its meat to eat, then eat it if you wish."In this hadith, it is reported from Abu Saeed from the Prophet ﷺ, "So now, eat, trade, and store it away."
قال حدثنا حجاج قال حدثني ابن جريج قال قال سليمان بن موسى
أن أبا سعيد الخدري أتى أهله فوجد قصعة من قديد الأضحى فأبى أن يأكله فأتى قتادة بن النعمان فأخبره أن النبي ﷺ قام فقال إني كنت أمرتكم أن لا تأكلوا الأضاحي فوق ثلاثة أيام لتسعكم وإني أحله لكم فكلوا منه ما شئتم ولا تبيعوا لحوم الهدي والأضاحي فكلوا وتصدقوا واستمتعوا بجلودها ولا تبيعوها وإن أطعمتم من لحمها فكلوا إن شئتم و قال في هذا الحديث عن أبي سعيد عن النبي ﷺ فالآن فكلوا واتجروا وادخروا
