He used to perform ablution at the corner. One day he came out to us from relieving himself, performed ablution, and wiped over his leather socks. We were astonished and asked, "What is this?"He replied, "My father told me that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do exactly as I have done."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنبأنا الحجاج بن أرطاة عن يحيى بن عبيد البهراني
وكان يتوضأ بالزاوية فخرج علينا ذات يوم من البراز فتوضأ ومسح على خفيه فتعجبنا وقلنا ما هذا قال حدثني أبي أنه رأى رسول الله ﷺ فعل مثل ما فعلت
