The Prophet ﷺ said, "When Friday comes and one of you washes his head and bathes, then sets out early or in the early hours, then draws near, listens attentively, and remains silent, he will receive for every step he takes the reward of fasting a year and standing in prayer a year."
قال حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال أخبرنا ابن جريج عن عمر بن محمد عن سعيد بن أبي هلال عن محمد بن سعيد
عن النبي ﷺ قال إذا كان يوم الجمعة فغسل أحدكم رأسه واغتسل ثم غدا أو ابتكر ثم دنا فاستمع وأنصت كان له بكل خطوة خطاها كصيام سنة وقيام سنة
Its isnad is sahih here, and hasan according to Tirmidhi, and this has already come up in 6904. It is actually daif due to the unknown status of Amr bin Muhammad, the narrator from Saeed bin Hilal, and the one who narrated from him, Ibn Jurayj, for I could not find him among the students of the former or the teachers of the latter.The problem is that the original text we have shows a blur in the isnad, but the isnad appears this way in Abdul-Razzaq 3/259, no. 5566, and in Tabarani's Kabir 1/216, no. 587, with his chain and wording in both. In Abu Dawud 1/94, nos. 345 and 346, it is narrated from Aws, through the route of Uzai from Hassan bin Atiya from Abu Ashath from him, and through the route of Layth from Khalid bin Yazid from Saeed bin Abu Hilal from Ubada bin Nusai.It also appears in Tirmidhi 2/367, no. 496, where he said, hasan, and in Nasai 3/95, no. 1381.
