When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat for the tashahhud, he would place his right hand on his right thigh and his left hand on his left thigh, point with his index finger, and not let his gaze pass beyond where he was pointing.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن ابن عجلان قال حدثني
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا جلس في التشهد وضع يده اليمنى على فخذه اليمنى ويده اليسرى على فخذه اليسرى وأشار بالسبابة ولم يجاوز بصره إشارته
