I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throwing pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba from the bottom of the valley on the Day of Sacrifice, and he was saying, "People, do not kill one another, and do not strike one another. When you throw at the Jamrah, throw with pebbles the size of small stones flicked between the fingers."He threw seven pebbles and did not pause, while a man stood behind him shielding him.I asked, "Who is this?"They answered, "Fadl bin Abbas."
Its isnad is hasan. This is because of Yazid bin Abu Ziyad Hashimi, about whom much criticism has been made. His hadith appears in Muslim, and his hadith is only valid when corroborated. This hadith has occurred many times before in the Musnad of Jabir. Umm Sulayman is the wife of Amr bin Ahwas, and both of them are companions. The hadith of Amr has already been mentioned at 15446.
