I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Which people are tested most severely?"He replied, "The prophets, then those who most resemble them, then those who most resemble them. A person is tested according to the strength of his faith. If his faith is firm, his trial is severe, and if there is weakness in his faith, he is tested according to the level of his faith. Trials continue to afflict the servant until they leave him walking upon the earth with not a single sin upon him."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن زيد حدثنا عاصم بن بهدلة
قلت لرسول الله ﷺ أي الناس أشد بلاء قال فقال الأنبياء ثم الأمثل فالأمثل يبتلى الرجل على حسب دينه فإن كان دينه صلبا اشتد بلاؤه وإن كان في دينه رقة ابتلي على حسب دينه فما يبرح البلاء بالعبد حتى يتركه يمشي على الأرض ما عليه خطيئة
