When we met the enemy on the day of Badr, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us that day, "When they draw close to you, meaning when they overwhelm you, shoot them with arrows," and I think he said, "and conserve your arrows."
قال حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن الزبير قال أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن الغسيل عن عباس بن سهل
لما التقينا نحن والقوم يوم بدر قال رسول الله ﷺ يومئذ لنا إذا أكثبوكم يعني غشوكم فارموهم بالنبل وأراه قال واستبقوا نبلكم
