I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The greatest of fabrications are three. That a man fabricates a vision against his own eyes, claiming he saw what he did not see. That he fabricates against his parents by attributing himself to someone other than his father. And that he claims he heard what he did not hear."
قال حدثنا زيد بن الحباب قال حدثنا معاوية بن صالح قال حدثني ربيعة بن يزيد الدمشقي قال سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن أعظم الفرية ثلاث أن يفتري الرجل على عينيه يقول رأيت ولم ير وأن يفتري على والديه يدعى إلى غير أبيه وأن يقول قد سمعت ولم يسمع
Its isnad is sahih. Muawiya bin Salih bin Hudayr, the judge of Andalusia, was deemed trustworthy by the scholars, and his hadith appears in Muslim. The same applies to Zayd bin Hubab, and the hadith has already appeared at 15950.
