The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not arrive until tribes are swallowed up by the earth, and it will be asked, 'Who remains of the tribe of so-and-so?'"He said, When he mentioned tribes, I knew he meant the Arabs, because non-Arabs are identified by their villages.

قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تقوم الساعة حتى يخسف بقبائل فيقال من بقي من بني فلان قال فعرفت حين قال قبائل أنها العرب لأن العجم تنسب إلى قراها
