My father was among the delegation from Abd Qays who came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he forbade them from using these particular vessels. He said, "We then suffered indigestion. The following year we came to him again."We said, "Messenger of Allah, you forbade us from using these vessels, and we suffered indigestion as a result."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Steep your drinks in whatever vessels you wish, but do not drink anything intoxicating. Whoever wishes may tie up his waterskin upon sin."
