Salama bin Yazid Jafi reported,

My brother and I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.We said, "Messenger of Allah, our mother Mulaykah used to maintain ties of kinship, show hospitality to guests, and do many good deeds, but she died during the time of ignorance. Will any of that benefit her?"He replied, "No."We said, "She also buried alive a sister of ours during the time of ignorance. Will that benefit her at all?"He said, "The one who buries the child and the buried child are both in the Fire, unless the one who buried lived to embrace Islam, in which case Allah pardons her."

حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن داود بن أبي هند عن الشعبي عن علقمة

عن سلمة بن يزيد الجعفي قال

انطلقت أنا وأخي إلى رسول الله ﷺ قال قلنا يا رسول الله إن أمنا مليكة كانت تصل الرحم وتقري الضيف وتفعل وتفعل هلكت في الجاهلية فهل ذلك نافعها شيئا قال لا قال قلنا فإنها كانت وأدت أختا لنا في الجاهلية فهل ذلك نافعها شيئا قال الوائدة والموءودة في النار إلا أن تدرك الوائدة الإسلام فيعفو الله عنها
