The Prophet ﷺ was brought a bowl of tharid. He ate from it, and a portion was left over. He said, "A man from the people of Paradise will come through this mountain pass and eat this remainder."Saad said, "I had left my brother Umayr bin Abu Waqqas getting ready to come to the Prophet ﷺ, so I hoped it would be him. But Abdullah bin Salam came and ate it."

أن النبي ﷺ أتي بقصعة من ثريد فأكل ففضل منه فضلة فقال يدخل من هذا الفج رجل من أهل الجنة يأكل هذه الفضلة قال سعد وقد كنت تركت أخي عمير بن أبي وقاص يتهيأ لأن يأتي النبي ﷺ فطمعت أن يكون هو فجاء عبد الله بن سلام فأكلها
