The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer and recited Surah ar-Rum during it, but some of the recitation became confused for him. He said, "Satan only confused our recitation because of certain people who come to the prayer without proper ablution. So when you come to the prayer, perform your ablution well."
حدثنا إسحاق بن يوسف عن شريك عن عبد الملك بن عمير
صلى بنا رسول الله ﷺ صلاة فقرأ فيها سورة الروم فلبس عليه بعضها قال إنما لبس علينا الشيطان القراءة من أجل أقوام يأتون الصلاة بغير وضوء فإذا أتيتم الصلاة فأحسنوا الوضوء
Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Sharik, while the rest are leading scholars. Ishaq bin Yusuf is al-Azraq the Hafiz, and Abdul-Malik bin Umayr is the jurist of Kufa. This hadith was narrated by Nasai, 2/156, no. 947, in the Book of Opening, on reciting Rum in the morning prayer. Haythami said, 1/242, "The men of Ahmad are the men of the Sahih." And Munziri said in Targheeb, 1/171, "Its narrators are relied upon in the Sahih," meaning the one that follows.
