He informed him that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Some poetry contains wisdom."Bashir bin Abdul-Rahman bin Kaab used to relate that Kaab bin Malik narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, it is as though you are pelting them with arrows through the poetry you direct at them."

Its isnad is sahih, though there is some criticism regarding Marwan bin Hakam, the Umayyad caliph. All the compilers narrated from him except Muslim. The rest of the narrators are trustworthy imams. The hadith of Marwan bin Hakam is accepted because of corroborating narrations and because the imams accepted his hadith. See the one before it.
