The Prophet ﷺ said, "Two hungry wolves set loose among a flock of sheep do not cause as much destruction to it as a person's greed for wealth and status causes to his religion."
حدثنا علي بن بحر قال حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن زكريا عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن سعد بن زرارة أن
أن النبي ﷺ قال ما ذئبان جائعان أرسلا في غنم أفسد لها من حرص المرء على المال والشرف لدينه
Its isnad is sahih, all of them being well-known reliable narrators previously mentioned. The hadith was narrated by Tirmidhi 4/588, no. 2376, in the chapter on asceticism, and he said, hasan sahih, and by Darimi 2/394, no. 2730, and Ibn Mubarak in Zuhd 181, and Ibn Abu Shayba 13/460, and Abu Naeem 11/331, no. 6449, and Tabarani in Al-Kabir 19/96, no. 189, and Ibn Hibban 8/24, no. 3228, Al-Ihsan.
