The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The soul of the believer, when he dies, is a bird that perches on the trees of Paradise until Allah returns it to his body on the day He resurrects him."

قال رسول الله ﷺ نسمة المؤمن إذا مات طائر يعلق بشجر الجنة حتى يرجعه الله تبارك وتعالى إلى جسده يوم يبعثه الله
Its isnad is sahih. Saad bin Ibrahim bin Saad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf is trustworthy and a hafiz, as is his father, and Salih bin Kaysan al-Madani is trustworthy, firmly reliable, and a jurist. The hadith previously appeared at 15716.
