Umar bin Khattab reported,

"The blood-money is the responsibility of the killer's paternal male relatives, and a woman does not inherit anything from her husband's blood-money," until Dahhak bin Sufyan al-Kilabi informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had written to him instructing that he give the wife of Ashyam al-Dibabi a share of inheritance from her husband's blood-money. So Umar retracted his position.
