It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no person who sits in a gathering and, when he wishes to rise, says, 'Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. There is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance,' except that he is forgiven for whatever occurred in that gathering."I related this hadith to Yazid bin Khaseefa, who said, "This is exactly how Saaib bin Yazid narrated it to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
Its isnad is sahih, coming through Yazid bin Khusayfa from Saaib, transmitted as a mursal report through Ismail bin Abdullah bin Jafar bin Abu Talib, who is trustworthy. The one who said, "I was told this hadith," is Zayd bin al-Had, whose name is Yazid bin Abdullah bin Usama bin al-Had, and all of them are trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared at 8803.
