Shaqiq reported,

Muawiya came to visit his maternal uncle Abu Hashim bin Utbah, who was ill, and Abu Hashim wept.Muawiya asked him, "What makes you weep, uncle? Is it pain that distresses you, or attachment to this world?"He replied, "Neither. Rather, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us a charge. He said, 'Abu Hashim, you may live to see wealth that is distributed among people, when all you really need from accumulated wealth is a servant and a mount to ride in the cause of Allah .' And here I see that I have indeed accumulated."

عن شقيق قال

دخل معاوية على خاله أبي هاشم بن عتبة يعوده قال فبكى قال فقال له معاوية ما يبكيك يا خال أوجعا يشئزك أم حرصا على الدنيا قال فقال فكلا لا ولكن رسول الله ﷺ عهد إلينا فقال يا أبا هاشم إنها علها تدرك أموالا لا يؤتاها أقوام وإنما يكفيك من جمع المال خادم ومركب في سبيل الله تبارك وتعالى وإني أراني قد جمعت
