Muaz bin Anas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I tell you why Allah called Ibrahim 'His friend who fulfilled his covenant'? It is because every morning and evening he would say, 'So glory be to Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning' [Rum 30:17] until he completed the verse."

حدثنا حسن حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا زبان بن فائد

عن سهل عن أبيه

عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال ألا أخبركم لم سمى الله تبارك وتعالى إبراهيم خليله الذي وفى لأنه كان يقول كلما أصبح وأمسى {فسبحان الله حين تمسون وحين تصبحون} حتى يختم الآية
