The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man has the greater right to his seat, and if he rises from it and then returns, he still has the greater right to it."
حدثنا هشام بن سعيد قال حدثنا خالد يعني ابن عبد الله قال حدثنا عمرو بن يحيى بن عمارة عن محمد بن يحيى بن حبان قال حدثني عمي واسع بن حبان
أن النبي ﷺ قال الرجل أحق بمجلسه وإن قام منه ثم رجع أي فهو أحق به
Its isnad is sahih. Hisham bin Saeed Talaqani, Abu Ahmad Bazzar, is deemed trustworthy and no one has criticized him. Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid Tahhan is well known and is a reliable, established narrator (thiqah thabt). Likewise Amr bin Yahya bin Umara bin Abu Hasan Mazini Madani, and Muhammad bin Yahya bin Habban Ansari, both he and his uncle being reliable (thiqah). The hadith has already appeared at 11221.
