The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the dawn prayer and began reciting Surat al-Muminun. When he reached the mention of Musa and Harun, or the mention of Isa (Muhammad bin Abbad was uncertain, as the narrators differed about it), the Prophet ﷺ was overcome by a fit of coughing, so he cut short the recitation and bowed. Ibn Saaib was present when this happened.
حدثنا روح حدثنا ابن جريج قال سمعت محمد بن عباد بن جعفر قال أخبرني أبو سلمة بن سفيان وعبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص وعبد الله بن المسيب العابدي
صلى بنا رسول الله ﷺ الصبح فاستفتح سورة المؤمنين حتى إذا جاء ذكر موسى وهارون أو ذكر عيسى محمد بن عباد شك اختلفوا عليه أخذت النبي ﷺ سعلة فحذف فركع قال وابن السائب حاضر ذلك
