Sabra reported,

Sabri reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he had instructed them to engage in the temporary marriage. He said, "I and another man proposed to a woman."He continued, "Then I met the Prophet ﷺ three days later, and he was forbidding it in the strongest terms, speaking against it most severely, and prohibiting it most emphatically."

يقال له السبري عن النبي ﷺ أنه أمرهم بالمتعة قال فخطبت أنا ورجل امرأة قال فلقيت النبي ﷺ بعد ثلاث فإذا هو يحرمها أشد التحريم ويقول فيها أشد القول وينهى عنها أشد النهي
