The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the temporary marriage of women on the day of the conquest.
حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم حدثنا معمر عن الزهري
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن متعة النساء يوم الفتح
Its isnad is sahih, and Rabi bin Sabra is trustworthy by consensus. The hadith was reported by Bukhari, 9/166, no. 5115, Fath. The hadith about mutah has come up many times before, but this hadith is one of the evidences used by the jurists who said that this abrogated the hadiths permitting it, and indeed it is so.
