Urwa bin Zubayr reported,

Hisham bin Hakeem saw some non-Muslim subjects standing in the sun and asked, "What is the matter with these people?"They replied, "They are people of the jizyah."So he went in to see Umayr bin Saad, who was the governor over a region of Syria, and Hisham said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever torments people in this world, Allah will torment him.'"Umayr then said, "Release them."

أن هشام بن حكيم رأى ناسا من أهل الذمة قياما في الشمس فقال ما هؤلاء فقالوا من أهل الجزية فدخل على عمير بن سعد وكان على طائفة الشام فقال هشام سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من عذب الناس في الدنيا عذبه الله تبارك وتعالى فقال عمير خلوا عنهم
