A man stole his cloak, and he brought him before the Prophet ﷺ, who ordered that his hand be cut off.The man said, "Messenger of Allah, I have forgiven him."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "If only this had been before you brought him to me, Abu Wahb."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had his hand cut off.

أن رجلا سرق برده فرفعه إلى النبي ﷺ فأمر بقطعه فقال يا رسول الله قد تجاوزت عنه قال فلولا كان هذا قبل أن تأتيني به يا أبا وهب فقطعه رسول الله ﷺ
