The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw in a dream that I was brought a cluster of dates. I chewed one in my mouth and found a pit in it that bothered me, so I spat it out. Then I took another and chewed it, and found a pit in it, so I spat it out. Then I took another and chewed it, and found a pit in it, so I spat it out."Abu Bakr said, "Let me interpret it."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Interpret it."Abu Bakr said, "It is the army you have sent out. They will be safe and gain spoils. They will encounter a man who will appeal to them by your covenant of protection, and they will let him go. Then they will encounter another man who will appeal to them by your covenant of protection, and they will let him go. Then they will encounter another man who will appeal to them by your covenant of protection, and they will let him go."The Prophet ﷺ said, "So said the angel."
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا سفيان عن مجالد عن الشعبي
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال رأيت كأني أتيت بكتلة تمر فعجمتها في فمي فوجدت فيها نواة آذتني فلفظتها ثم أخذت أخرى فعجمتها فوجدت فيها نواة فلفظتها ثم أخذت أخرى فعجمتها فوجدت فيها نواة فلفظتها فقال أبو بكر دعني فلأعبرها قال قال اعبرها قال هو جيشك الذي بعثت يسلم ويغنم فيلقون رجلا فينشدهم ذمتك فيدعونه ثم يلقون رجلا فينشدهم ذمتك فيدعونه ثم يلقون رجلا فينشدهم ذمتك فيدعونه قال كذلك قال الملك
