My father was martyred at Uhud, so my sisters sent me to him with a watering camel of theirs. They said, "Go and carry your father on this camel and bury him in the cemetery of Banu Salama."So I came to him along with some helpers of mine. News of this reached the Prophet of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting at Uhud. He summoned me and said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, he shall not be buried except with his brothers."So he was buried with his companions at Uhud.
حدثنا علي بن إسحاق وحدثنا عبد الوهاب وعتاب أخبرنا عبد الله أخبرنا عمر بن سلمة بن أبي يزيد المديني حدثني أبي قال سمعت
استشهد أبي بأحد فأرسلنني أخواتي إليه بناضح لهن فقلن اذهب فاحتمل أباك على هذا الجمل فادفنه في مقبرة بني سلمة قال فجئته وأعوان لي فبلغ ذلك نبي الله ﷺ وهو جالس بأحد فدعاني وقال والذي نفسي بيده لا يدفن إلا مع إخوته فدفن مع أصحابه بأحد
