The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the killing of the gecko and called it a little corrupt creature.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن الزهري
أمر رسول الله ﷺ بقتل الوزغ وسماه فويسقا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Muslim and Abu Dawud also narrated it, as noted in Dhakhair Mawarith 2137.
