An Arabi came to the Prophet ﷺ and pledged allegiance to him upon Islam. The next day he came back stricken with fever and said, "Messenger of Allah, release me from my pledge."The Prophet ﷺ refused.He came again for three consecutive days, each time saying, "Messenger of Allah, release me from my pledge," and each time the Prophet ﷺ refused.When the man turned away, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Madinah is like a furnace. It expels its impurities and purifies its good."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا سفيان عن ابن المنكدر
جاء أعرابي إلى النبي ﷺ فبايعه على الإسلام فجاء من الغد محموما فقال يا رسول الله أقلني فأبى فجاءه ثلاثة أيام متوالية كل ذلك يقول يا رسول الله أقلني فيأبى النبي ﷺ فلما ولى قال النبي ﷺ إن المدينة كالكير تنفي خبثها وتنصع طيبها
