He informed him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The people of Mecca will leave it, and then no one will pass through it," or "only a few will know it. Then it will fill up and be rebuilt. Then they will leave it again and never return to it."
حدثنا حسن حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا أبو الزبير عن جابر أن
أخبره أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول سيخرج أهل مكة ثم لا يعبر بها أو لا يعرفها إلا قليل ثم تمتلئ وتبنى ثم يخرجون منها فلا يعودون فيها أبدا
